Enrichment News
STEM Group:
Over the last 2 weeks, the students have been using their knowledge and skills gained from using the Turing Tumble coding boards to create their own challenges for their peers. They were to think of an output and objective, make the path and then create a Challenge Sheet. They needed to test, trial and sometimes redo their paths to ensure they had the desired output. Declan and Wilson successfully completed the activity and their Challenge Sheet can be seen below. These boys will share their Challenge with their class during week 10. Well done Declan (Year 6) and Wilson (Year 4) for your consistent effort and hard work this term to complete the challenge
Reader’s Cup 2022:
On Thursday 9th of June, Evie, Amber, Lexie and Sophie met Ms Moloney at school very early to head off to St Andrew’s Catholic College, Redlynch in Cairns. The girls have spent time this term reading, analysing and discussing 5 chapter books. At the Reader’s Cup competition they found their huddle area and worked extremely well as a team to answer 10, 2 part questions from each of the 5 books. With an overall score of 62.5 points, the girls from St Clare’s came in equal 13th place.
Congratulations on your diligence and commitment to reading this term Evie, Amber, Lexie and Sophie! It has been an absolute pleasure being part of the rich discussions and learning experiences.
