Premier’s Reading Challenge
A reminder that all completed challenge forms need to be returned to school by 26th August for students to receive a certificate from the Premier.
Book Week
The annual CBCA Book Week is from 20th - 26th August. The theme this year is “Dreaming with your eyes open”. Ms Moloney is organising a range of events for the week including poetry recitals on Monday 22nd @ 2pm and a whole school Book Week Trivia Quiz on Friday 26th. Everyone knows the St. Clare’s community loves a dress up day and here is your chance - we will host our annual Book Week Dress Up Parade on Friday 26th August. Start getting those book character costumes ready!
Mrs Borgna has all the shortlisted books on display in the library, so make sure you check them out!
NAIDOC Day Celebrations
NAIDOC Week was celebrated nationally during the last school holidays. St. Clare’s will have their own NAIDOC celebrations on Friday 26th August, in conjunction with book week activities. The theme for this year is Get up, Stand Up, Show Up. Students will complete a variety of hands-on activities throughout the day and will even be treated to a dancing performance from some of our local high school students. Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks.
Happy Learning
