Sports News

Cricket Representatives

Congratulations to our six cricket stars who played in the Southern Zone Cassowary Coast team at Kurrimine Beach - Clay, Benny, Sahib, Nollie, Chase and William. All of the boys played really well. A huge congratulations to Clay Chappel and Chase Frumento who were selected to play in the Cassowary Coast team in Tolga and also William Robertson who was selected in the Presidents Team to also play in Tolga. This is a wonderful achievement.
In Tolga, the Cassowary Coast team with Chase and Clay made it to the final and played against Cairns Central Coast but unfortunately Cassowary Coast were beaten. Still an exceptional achievement to make it to the final with our talented students. Congratulations Clay and Chase.

Ken Hamill Cup

Our super keen footy stars from Year 5 and 6 had the amazing opportunity to play in front of a big crowd at the Tully Showgrounds on Saturday night for the annual Ken Hamill Cup against Tully SS. We are extremely proud of each and every one of you. Unfortunately we went down to Tully SS this year with them taking home the cup for 2022. A huge congratulations to Kelly Clifford who got Man of the Match for the St. Clare's team. We would like to say a massive thank you to Anthony Emmi for generously giving up his time to coach our students again for this awesome event. Many thanks as well to Mrs Chappel and Mr Nona for all of their work in organising and preparing the team for the big game. It is wonderful to provide these opportunities to our students and it wouldn't be possible without our exceptional staff so thank you!

Kind Regards,

Kate Mason
