Australian Curriculum V9
Earlier this year, ACARA released Version 9 of the Australian Curriculum which has seen some significant changes across most learning areas. To align with other schools in the Cairns diocese, St. Clare’s will begin teaching Version 9 of Mathematics and HPE in 
2023. Teachers have already undertaken professional development sessions and will continue to plan in preparation for the roll out of these two learning areas at the start of the new school year. Further learning areas will continue to be rolled out each year until full implementation.
Booklists
Booklists are currently being finalised and will be handed out during Week 9. There will
be no Maths text book for students in 2023. Students in Prep - Year 2 will not be using Sound Waves Spelling as we are implementing a new program for Phonics and Spelling. There is no workbook required for this program.
