Seville Mercy Conference Centre is hosting a community screening of the 2022 movie 'The Letter', the story of Pope Francis' message to the world, Laudato Si', an encyclical on Care for our Common Home. The screening will take place at the conference centre on Wednesday 1 March 2023 commencing 7pm. 

The movie was conceived as part of the mission of the Laudato Si’ Movement in partnership with Off the Fence (Oscar-winning producers of My Octopus Teacher) and the Vatican, with Pope Francis generously spending time during the production, sharing his deep wisdom. 

The film also features other voices, representing the peripheries of the ecological crisis; a teenage youth activist from India, an indigenous leader from the Amazon, a climate refugee from Senegal, and scientists from Hawaii, in dialogue with Pope Francis.  As the film powerfully explains, the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor are growing increasingly desperate. 

The movie screening will be followed by a short discussion and supper. Registration is open through the QR code in the attached flyer
