Cross Country State Championships
A couple of weeks ago our very talented Layla Morris travelled to Hervey Bay to compete at the Queensland State Titles for Cross Country. Layla led the pack heading out at the start of her 2km race and she finished with a great time. She also
competed in a team relay with her team finishing up in 9th place. Congratulations on an outstanding achievement Layla. It is exceptional to make it to that level of competition.
Southern Zone District Athletics
The incredibly talented students of St. Clare's have done us extremely proud at this year's Southern Zone District Athletics Carnival. The students displayed exceptional talent on the sporting field coming away with several ribbons and they also displayed excellent sportsmanship throughout the carnival. A big thank you to Mrs Chappel, Mrs Jenkins and Mrs Grimaz for their assistance at the carnival with running events and ensuring our students were always well organised and at their events on time. Thank you to all of the parents and grandparents who came to support our wonderful students and also to the parents who assisted with transporting our students to the event. Thank you also to Tully State High School for convening the Wednesday afternoon events and Lower Tully State School for convening the Friday full day carnival.
