Dear St Clare's Community,

Welcome to Term 4! It is hard to believe we are already in the final term of 2023. This term is sure to go quickly, being only 9 weeks and being full of events, activities and learning experiences.

Water Safety Program

Our water safety program will commence next week (Week 3) and is a 5 week program. Students will go to the Tully Pool on their sports days. For Year 1, 3, 4, 5 & 6 this is Tuesday and for Prep and Year 2 it will be on Thursdays during the program.

Prep Transition

This week we welcome many excited children to our first day of Prep Transition for Prep 2023. We will be running a 5 week program led by Mrs Gita Sima and Mrs Pauline Colombini. We all look forward to getting to know our 2024 prep students as they visit St. Clare’s each week.

Transition Dates for 2024 Prep students are as follows (9-11am):

Wednesday 11th October
Wednesday 18th October
Wednesday 25th October
Wednesday 1st November
Wednesday 8th November

A parent information session will be held on Tuesday 17th October @ 6pm in the Prep classroom.

 
Enrolments 2024

While we do not like to see our families leave St. Clare's, we understand that circumstances change and families can relocate and move away. If your child will not be returning to St. Clare's in 2024, please contact the office as soon as possible.

HELP NEEDED!

The P&F hosts our end of year BBQ each year. For the past several years Marie Vipiana has organised this event. The P&F are seeking a parent to work alongsideMarie this year to organise the BBQ and take over the running of it in 2024. This would involve putting an item in the Newsletter to request help on the night and organise a roster for the night, ordering supplies and help setting up on the day.

If you can help, please contact either myself or Marie.

Absences - for each week

Our unexplained absences are decreasing each week. Thank you for letting the school know if your child is absent.

St Gerard Feast Day

The St. Gerard Committee is holding the Feast of St. Gerard Celebrations on Saturday 21st October. The afternoon will begin with a Mass at 2:30pm. Please contact the parish office for further information.
