Dear Families

The P&F Committee would like to thank the families of St Clare's School and the wider community for such a successful 2023 fete.  We would also like to acknowledge all involved in any way, big or small, in helping this event not only take place but be another successful fundraiser for our school.  

The P&F are continuously allocating P&F funds to make our school a better place for our students and families by either purchasing items for the school or helping fund school activities, such as bus fees for school camps.  Any family member can contribute to the P&F decisions by either attending our monthly meetings or contacting a committee member.  Our meeting dates are listed on the St Clare's P&F facebook page and in the school's newsletter.

We have some exciting events coming up this term which are traditionally hosted by the P&F.  These events are the waterslide day for the students to enjoy, and the End of Year BBQ/Christmas Concert for all families to enjoy.  As these events are for the benefit of our students and families, P&F are looking for volunteers to take on the running of the End of Year BBQ.  This event cannot continue if we don't have volunteers to both organise catering before the night and on the night.  Catering consists of a simple BBQ, chips and chicken nuggets as well as soft drinks.  The P&F like to run this event without the goal of making a profit but instead, to make it an affordable night for families to enjoy each others company (and not have to cook dinner) and the student's Christmas Concert.  P&F committee member, Marie Vipiana, has organised this event over the past few years and is wanting to hand over the ropes to a new volunteer, family or team of volunteers.  Please reach out if you have any questions about helping out in this area.  The P&F committee will also be of assistance to our new volunteer/s.

The St Clare's P&F are looking for a new treasurer and secretary for 2024.  If you are interested or would like to know more about these positions please contact President, John Clifford on 0438665571.  

The fete committee are also after some new recruits.  As mentioned above, the fete is a very successful fundraising event of our school that is hosted by the school's P&F committee.  Please contact Marie Vipiana on 0418158872 or Melissa Murphy on 0448841066 if you are interested in being apart of this committee.

For those that aren't aware, St Clare's has a uniform 'Buy/Swap/Sell page on facebook.  This page is a great way to sell/pass on uniforms that no longer fit your child/ren, especially if they are still in good condition.  It is called St Clare's (Tully) Uniform Buy/Swap/Sell. 

Our next P&F meeting will be held on the 21st November 2023.  All families are automatically apart of the school's P&F committee and are welcome to attend.
