This week will see our town celebrate its centenary. St Clare’s School and Parish will be combining to participate in the Street Parade this Saturday. Any participants are kindly asked to meet at the Gumboot (Banyan Park) at 8.45am. The parade is expected to start at 9.30am and will end at St Clare’s School. We are very hopeful that the sun will be shining, but if not, children are welcome to wear a raincoat or poncho (no umbrellas for children please). If your child is riding a bike or scooter, please ensure they are able to ride/push it themselves as we anticipate the parade will move quite slowly. A huge thank you to our school’s Tully 100 team (Helen Andrews, Vera Borgna, Jenny Sollitt, Carla Low, Marie Vipiana and Jo Wall) who have spent many weeks planning, creating, painting and organising our float, and to our staff who are helping to put all of the decorations onto the truck this Friday. We are very grateful to Mackay’s for lending a flatbed truck to us for this event, and to Jason Vipiana, for being our trusted driver.
With Blessings,
