Aquathlon

Congratulations to Eddie Brunello who is currently in Hervey Bay representing Peninsula in the Aquathlon. The weather conditions resulted in some changes to the swim leg of his event but Eddie had a strong finish, being the second boy in the Peninsula team to cross the line. Well done, Eddie!

Rugby League & Netball

This Friday will see our Years 4 to 6 students participate in the Rugby League and Netball Carnival. Our students have been training hard in the lead up to this event and we hope they all enjoy a great day of sport. All students are to arrive at school in their full sports uniform (including runners and school hat) and will change at school if necessary. Please ensure your child comes to school with plenty of water and sun cream. Lunch may be brought in from home or ordered through our tuckshop (please note there are no frozen items available for players).

Students are able to bring in a small amount of money, however, there is no guarantee that they will have enough time during the day to access the Tully State School tuckshop.

Cross Country

Our annual Cross Country will run Friday March 21. Our Year 6 leaders will be commencing before school training very soon so students are encouraged to arrive at school at 8.20am to join in.The Cross Country Carnival will be our first opportunity to wear our House Shirts. If your child has outgrown their old shirt or needs a new one, please make sure you hand their polo shirts in for the screen printing day on March 5.

Touch Gala Day

Our Years 4 -6 students will have the opportunity to participate in the upcoming Touch Gala Day, held on Thursday April 3. Please note that the date previously sent out to parents has the incorrect date for the 10-12 years Cassowary Coast Touch trials. The Southern Zone Cassowary Coast selections will be a part of this Gala Day and selected players will then attend the Cassowary Coast trials on May 21.
