State 10-12yr Girls’ Softball Championships
Congratulations to Danielle Kerr, Eve Zonta and Meg Chappel for representing the Peninsula region at the 10-12yr Girls’ State Softball Championships at Cairns from 29th August – 1st September. All three girls played fantastic softball at the four-day carnival against very strong competition from all the regions around Queensland. Well done girls!
Peninsula 10-12yr Cricket Trials
Congratulations to Chace Crema and Riley Berge for their representation in the Southern Cassowary Coast District Cricket Team at Kurrimine last week. The boys won the trial match and Riley gained a position in the Cassowary Coast District team currently playing at the Peninsula 10-12yr Cricket Trials at Tolga. Well done boys!
Brisbane International School’s Challenge Tennis
Congratulations to our Orange-Ball and Green-Ball tennis teams that represented our school at the Peninsula Region Brisbane International trials at the Cairns International Tennis Centre last week. Chace Crema, Jarrod Vipiana, Meg Chappel and Riley Berge placed third in the highly contested Green-ball tournament while Aiden Vipiana, Case Durighello, Jackson Solien and Cooper Sichter placed fifth against tough competition in the Orange-Ball tournament. Well done to all the students and many thanks to the attending parents for their support!
T20 Blast Cricket – Cassowary Coast South
The T20 Blast Cricket day is scheduled for Wednesday 18th September (last week of school) at the Kim Carroll fields. Parent slips will be emailed this week for permission. Transport and team management would be greatly appreciated.
Mary Mills Catholic Schools’ Netball Carnival
The Mary Mills Netball Carnival is scheduled for Friday 20th September in Cairns. Girls in Year 5 and 6 have started training and parent slips will be emailed this week.
Jim Graham Catholic Schools’ Rugby League Cup
Chace Crema, Dean Giardina, Peter Solien, Hamish Gilbert and Jared Nash have commenced training for the Jim Graham Catholic Schools’ Rugby League Cup on Friday 20th September Cairns for Year 5 and 6 boys.
