From The Principal's Desk
This weekend we look forward to our annual fete. The theme is ‘Let’s Get Physical’ and students have been practising diligently for their class performances on the night. All parents should have received information from teachers regarding Saturday’s requirements and arrival time. I look forward to seeing everyone at the fete and celebrating the high quality fete that St. Clare’s always provides for our school and wider community. Spread the word to everyone you know to come along and have some fun!
This week is Child Protection Week. We take the opportunity to reflect on the important role we play in keeping all children safe. We pray for the young victims of any form of harm, that they may be loved, cared for and supported on their life’s journey. Child Protection is everyone’s responsibility and we have a responsibility to teach our children how to be safe in a variety of circumstances. We do use the Daniel Morcombe program as a stimulus for teaching our children important lessons around personal safety. Together we can keep your children safe. Launched on Father’s Day every year, National Child Protection Week, supports and encourages the safety and wellbeing of Australian children and families. Promoting safe, positive and supportive relationships and interactions with others is an important part of this.
An ongoing message that is always promoted is that protecting children is everyone’s business and all Australians are urged to be involved.
Wellbeing Week
Our practice each term is to have no homework during Wellbeing Week in Week 8. Students are still expected to read each night to keep up their fluency and comprehension development. Take the time to do something different with your family this week.
Prep Transition Program Term 4
Families who have a child enrolled in Prep 2020 should have received a letter about the transition program last week. If you have not received the information please contact the office to get another copy sent to you.
Please remember that term three finishes on Friday September 20th. We will resume for our fourth term after the Queen’s Birthday holiday. Term 4 commences on Tuesday October 8th.
Best wishes for the week ahead! See you at the fete on Saturday night!
