It’s great to be back for another action packed term!
Altar Serving
If your child has received their First Communion, they are now able to assist with altar serving. Weekend masses are held on Saturday evenings from 6pm and Sunday mornings from 9am. Interested children from Year 4-6 have taken forms home last week, if these could be returned to me this week, it would be greatly appreciated. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any further queries around altar serving.
Show Display
Mrs Jo Wall has once again done an amazing job with our show display. Each class has been busily creating artworks in preparation for the display. Our 2025 theme is around the Year of Jubilee, a time of celebration and renewal, which was held every 50 years in the Old Testament, and now every 25 years in the Catholic Church. The chosen mascot for this jubilee is Luce (an Italian name meaning light), whose mission is to guide young pilgrims toward hope and faith. If you are attending the Tully District Show, please go and check out our school’s display.
If your child is entering any of their own creations, produce, animals, baking etc. at this year’s show, we would love to see it and share this with our school community. Please send suitable photos to me via Seesaw or email to schappel@cns.catholic.edu.au.
NAIDOC Week Liturgy
NAIDOC Week generally falls in the June/July holidays so we will come together as a school community to acknowledge this with a Liturgy this Thursday (July 24) at 2pm. This will be led by the staff of St Clare’s and parents and families are most welcome to attend.
Catholic Education Week Liturgy
As we celebrate Catholic Education Week next week, our Prep to Year 4 children will be involved in a Liturgy next Thursday at 9am. All families and friends are most welcome to join us in the church for this event.
