St Gerards’ Mass

St Gerard’s Feast Day will be celebrated this Saturday, October 18 at 2.30pm in the church. Thank you to our St Clare’s families who will be involved in various parts of the mass, including the choir. All are welcome to attend this wonderful community event.

Mental Health Week

This week we will be celebrating Mental Health Week with various lunch time activities around the school. At St Clare’s, we strive to provide opportunities for our students to be aware of their own mental health and develop strategies that promote positive mental health and wellbeing for life. Thank you to our staff members who are sharing their talents with us to make this an enjoyable week for all.

Grandparent’s Day

We kindly extend the invitation to our grandparents to join us on Friday October 24 for assembly in the hall at 8.40am. Grandparents will then be able to visit the children in their classrooms until approximately 9.45am. We hope to see many familiar faces there.

World Mission Month

October marks the month of World Mission. Catholic Mission is the Pope’s international mission agency, responding to the call to love God and to love our neighbour by forming individuals and communities as missionary disciples of Jesus. In recognition of World Mission Day, we are seeking children from Year 5 or 6 at St Clare’s who are interested in being ambassadors. This would involve reading at mass on the weekend of October 25/26. If your child is interested, please contact me.

We will also be fundraising for Catholic Mission’s Socktober event by wearing crazy socks on Friday October 31. This day will also combine Day for Daniel (wearing red) and Mini Fete, with all funds going back to Catholic Mission.
