From The Principal's Desk
Dear St. Clare’s Community,
Welcome to Term 4! With only 9 weeks in this term, it is sure to fly by with all sorts of events, activities and learning experiences.
Next week we have our 5 Year External Review occurring from Tuesday to Thursday. The school review is an opportunity to reflect on current practices and progress made towards improving the quality of teaching and learning and subsequently, student learning and wellbeing outcomes. We look forward to welcoming the Reviewers, Trevor Gordon & Terry Carter, to St. Clare’s.
Water Safety Program
Our water safety program will commence in Week 3 for 5 weeks. Students will go to the Tully Pool on their sports days.
Tuesdays - Prep, Year 1, Year 2, Year 5 & Year 6
Thursdays - Year 3 & Year 4
Further information about times and organisation will be sent home soon.
Prep Transition for 2026 Prep Students
This week we welcome many excited children to St. Clare’s for our first day of Prep Transition for Prep 2026. We will be running a 5 week program led by Mrs Gita Sima and Mrs Pauline Colombini. We all look forward to getting to know our 2026 Prep class as they visit St. Clare’s each week.
Transition Dates are as follows (9-11am):
Wednesday 15th October
Wednesday 22nd October
Wednesday 29th October
Wednesday 5th November
Wednesday 12th November
A parent meet & greet will be held on Tuesday 28th October from 5:00pm in the Prep classroom.
St Gerard Feast Day
The St. Gerard Committee is holding the Feast of St. Gerard Celebrations on Saturday 18th October. The afternoon will begin with a Mass at 2:30pm. Please contact the parish office for further information.
Lion’s Vision Screening
We have the Lion’s Club visiting on November 17th. The Lion’s Club will conduct screening for any students in Year 1- 6. Further information is attached to this newsletter. If you would like your child to take the opportunity to participate in this screening, please return the attached form to the office no later than Monday 10th November.

In the last week of Term 3, I had several visitors showing me some great effort in their learning. It is so good to see that our students are dedicated to doing their best all the way through to the end of each term.
