Welcome Community Hospitality
October 2019 – Extraordinary Missionary Month
In response to Pope Francis’ invitation, the Extraordinary Missionary Month is to be an opportunity for reflection, prayer and support for the missionary efforts of individuals, communities and whole Church.
As part of the Extraordinary Missionary Month, a special Mary MacKillop Bottlebrush Tree is being planted in the grounds of the Tully, Mission Beach and Cardwell churches. Both Mission Beach and Cardwell churches conducted their special tree planting ceremony last Sunday.
This Sunday, 21st August, just before the 9am Mass, we extend an invitation to all to join in our celebration to plant our tree in the Heart of St Clare’s Garden. Our school captains, Lacey and Jarrod will be helping plant the tree before Mass is celebrated, followed by a morning tea hosted by the Parish hospitality committee. We encourage you to come along and share this special occasion with your family.
