Sport Updates
In the last fortnight we had students compete in the 10/11 year old rugby league on the 19th March. They had a great game against some really difficult opponents.
Well done to Liam, Clay, Ben, David and Declan. We also had two students go to Cairns to participate in the Peninsula trials for AFL this would have been great experience for Case and Riley learning a new sport, well done boys.
Cross Country
Our Cross Country will be held tomorrow, Wednesday 31st March.. We will start with our 12yr old students at around 9 am and work our way down each age group of boys and girls to our 5yr old students.
12yr (2009) and 11yr (2010) students run approx 3km.
10yr (2011) and 9yr (2012) students run approx 2km.
8yr (2013) and 7yr (2014) students run approx 1km.
6yr (2015) and 5yr (2016) students run approx 600m.
Students wear a Woomera (yellow) or Cooby (blue) shirt along with shorts or tights. Shoes must be worn while running. Asthmatics are required to carry medication in a pocket. Sunscreen and hats must be worn. A towel, spare clothes/shoes, a plastic bag and mosquito repellent are recommended, particularly if the weather is wet. It is recommended that you students apply insect repellent before coming to school (usually half hour after sunscreen).
