Season of Easter
Pilgrim Walk
On the last day of Term 1, each class went on a pilgrim walk around the school and visited the 14 Stations of the Cross. They reflected on the story at each station and joined in special prayers of remembrance. The students were so reverent and were actively engaged in the stories that unfolded during the pilgrim walk.
Easter Sunday
When we returned to school last week, we focused on Easter Sunday and celebrated the resurrection of Jesus. As a follow on from the Stations of the Cross Pilgrim Walk, there was an Easter tomb as a focus for our reflection. Each class visited the tomb and participated in reflective prayers about this important feast day in the life of the Church.
A big thank you to all the teachers for their involvement in the preparation and setting up for these holy day celebrations.

Project Compassion Boxes
Congratulations to everyone who support Project Compassion during Lent this year. Our almsgiving for this year was tremendous and as a school community we raised $1682. A special mention to our Prep class who were very generous and raised $400 as a class. The Prep’s will be having a celebration party one Friday afternoon as a treat for their wonderful generosity and compassion for others.
ANZAC Day
It was wonderful to see so many St Clare’s staff and students marching in the Tully ANZAC parade on Sunday to show respect to the brave men and women who have and are serving our country. Despite the Tully weather, there were many who braved the wet conditions to come for the service. Congratulations to our school captains who did an excellent job of their duties for the ceremony. We were very proud of the respect shown by all our students and their wonderful singing voices when the National Anthem was sung. Thank you to all the parents who came along to support our students and a special thank you the Year 6 parents who organised the tent at the cenotaph.
