Sport Updates

Congratulations to Aiden, Riley, Case, Charlize and Madeleine for representing the Cassowary Coast at the 10-12yrs Peninsula Touch Football Championships at Tully State High School yesterday.
The Cassowary Coast teams played excellent touch and both the boys and girl’s teams were the overall winners of their divisions.
Case and Madeleine were selected to represent the Peninsula region at the Queensland School Sport 10-12yrs Touch Football Championship in August at Townsville. Well done to all players!

Congratulations to Clay, Riley and Bailey for representing the Cassowary Coast at the 11-12yrs Peninsula Rugby Union Championships at Stan Williams Park, in Cairns. The boys played very well in a sport that is quite new to them and we thank their coaches for their training time.
Bailey and Riley (shadow) were selected to represent the Peninsula region at the Queensland School Sport 11-12yrs Rugby Union Championship in July at Brisbane. Well done boys!

Congratulations to Emily, Sienna and Madeleine for representing the Cassowary Coast at the Peninsula Cross Country Championships at Trinity Anglican School. In a field of approximately 50 competitors, Emily placed in the top 20 and Sienna placed 7th in the 10yr girls’ 2km run. Madeleine placed 2nd in the 11yr girls’ 3km run.
Madeleine and Sienna (shadow) qualify to represent the Peninsula region at the Queensland School Sport Cross Country Championships in July at Ipswich. Well done girls!

Congratulations to Case, Charlize, Erin, Hannah and Makayla for representing the Cassowary Coast at the Peninsula Football (Soccer) Championships at Endeavor Park, Cairns on Wednesday. They all played fantastic soccer resulting in wins for the Cassowary Coast boys and girl’s teams! Well done!

On the 7th of June, Riley represented the Cassowary Coast in the Peninsula trials for Tennis in Mareeba. We look forward to hearing how he went.
