Feast of St Clare of Montefalco
We celebrated the Feast of St Clare of Montefalco with a Mass at Holy Spirit Church at Mission Beach last Friday. The students were super excited to be travelling on a bus and going to the beach for the day, and they are to be congratulated on the reverence and respect they demonstrated when they were in Church. Thank you to Father Joby for celebrating Mass with us and joining us at the beach for some fun afterwards.

The Nativity of Mary
Next Wednesday 8th september, we celebrate the special feast of the birth of Mary. We honour Mary as the mother of Jesus who carried him and cared for him during his life. Mary showed many great qualities in the way she lived her life. We too, can be inspired by Mary’s life so that we may become faithful and true followers of Jesus.
NAIDOC
On Thursday 2nd September, we are planning a day of activities to celebrate NAIDOC Day. NAIDOC Week was celebrated during the July school holidays so we have organised activities around this year’s theme of Heal Country! Heal Our Nation! For this week. We will commence the day with a NAIDOC Liturgy and then students will be grouped in multi-age levels and timetabled to complete activities throughout the day with staff. Students can come in free dress for the day. No gold coin required.
Waste Free Wednesday
What is it?
A Waste-free lunch contains no throwaway packaging. Food and drinks are packed in reusable containers within a reusable lunch bag or box. All containers are resealable so that leftover food and drink can be consumed later.
