of Australia announced this year’s winners
in the following categories from outstanding
shortlisted books for 2021.

Early Childhood Book of the Year:

Younger Readers Book of the Year:

Picture Book of the Year:
How to Make a Bird   Author:  Matt Ottley

Eve Pownall Information Book of the Year:
Dry to Dry: The Seasons of Kakadu   Author: Pamela Freeman

Crichton Award for New Illustrators:
This Small Blue Dot   Author:  Zeno Sworder

titles and many other titles which were announced as honours and
Shortlisted books of the year.
