Religious Life of the School
Welcome Community Hospitality
We have lots to be thankful for being part of the St Clare’s School Community. There have been many examples this term of our school community coming together displaying our school values of Welcome, Community and Hospitality. We are truly blessed to have such a caring and supportive community. Thank you to you all.
St. Clare’s School Prayer
God our creator,
We give praise and thanks for –
our families, our school and parish community and the beauty of our world.
Help us to continue to learn, grow and pray as we spread the flame of faith just as St Clare did.
Let us show Welcome, Community and Hospitality to all who enter our school.
Show us how to make St Clare’s a happy place, where learning is important, and living the way that Jesus taught us is what really counts.
We ask this prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen

NAIDOC Day
We celebrated NAIDOC Week during Week 8 and the theme for 2021 was Heal Country! Heal our Nation! We commenced our day with a liturgy to reflect and give thanks for our First Nations people for their wisdom and knowledge and their care of the land. For our indigenous people, culture is part of their identity. It is family, kin, law, ceremony, traditions and languages. Through their languages, songs, ceremonies and traditions they celebrate Country and Country speaks to them.
The students rotated around activities learning more about our First Nations people culture and stories. It was a wonderful day with the students displaying enthusiasm and creativity in their creations.

Second Step
A child's social and emotional wellbeing is integral to their overall health, development and wellbeing. Children with high levels of social and emotional wellbeing are more likely to successfully negotiate physical, intellectual and social challenges during childhood and adolescence. At St Clare’s, we use a program called Second Step which is a research-based, teacher-informed, and classroom-tested series of lessons to promote the social-emotional development, safety, and well-being of children from prep to Year 6.
St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal
Thank you to the families who supported the Winter Appeal this year. Your donations have been given to the Parish and they will distribute them among people in need in the local community.
Tommy Turtle Award
Congratulations to Prep for winning the Tommy Turtle award
With God’s blessings for the September school holidays.
