Sport Updates
Congratulations to Giaan, Emily and Liam for representing our school and the Cassowary Coast School Sport District at the 10-19yrs Peninsula Aquathlon/Triathlon Championships in Cairns on the 7th of November. The event consisted of a 1km run, a 200m swim followed by another 1km run. Emily placed 11th and Giaan 14th in the 10-11yr girls division. Liam placed 3rd in the 10-11yr boys division and qualified to represent the Peninsula Region at the Queensland School Sport Aquathlon/Triathlon Championships at Hervey Bay in February 2022. Well done to you all!
Students from Years 5 and 6 had a most enjoyable day last Friday at the Billy Slater League Challenge at Innisfail. Our four teams won most of the games they played but most importantly they displayed awesome sportsmanship. We are very proud of our Year 5 mixed teams for being awarded the Sportsmanship trophy for their division. Congratulations to our players and many thanks to the organisers and our wonderful parents for their support.
Congratulations to all the students who gained awards at the Cassowary Coast Southern Zone Sports awards on Monday 15th, St Clare's was very well represented. Well done to all.
Congratulations to Riley who travelled to Bundaberg to compete for Peninsula in the QLD school sports championships in Cricket. He played really well and enjoyed the experience.
