Leading up to NAPLAN each year, students are always involved in practice tests. Due to our students doing testing ONLINE, we will be participating in an online practice test along with most other students statewide. This will occur on Thursday March 24th and will involve both the Yr 3 and Yr 5 classes. This will allow students to experience the online environment and for us to ensure our devices are ready for the May testing. It will also test the capabilities of the statewide testing platform for performance in readiness for May.

The schedule for testing in May will be communicated to parents early in Term Two.

PTO

Yesterday, students brought home a letter and login details for PTO - Parent Teacher Online.  This is the booking system for our upcoming Parent/Teacher Interviews which will begin in Week 9 (21/03/2022).  Parents are encouraged to book an interview to discuss their student’s progress so far with the class teacher.  Interviews are of 15 minutes duration.  Should you require any assistance with booking online, please email me on cedwards@cns.catholic.edu.au

NCCD

The Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD) takes place every year. The NCCD is a collection that counts:

• the number of school students receiving an adjustment or ‘help’ due to disability
• the level of adjustment they are receiving to access education on the same basis as other students. Students are counted in the NCCD if they receive ongoing adjustments at school due to disability. This ‘help’ allows them to access education on the same basis as a child without disability. The NCCD uses the definition of disability in the Disability Discrimination Act 1992.
