Dear Parents, Staff and Students

Wellbeing Week

Week 8 is Wellbeing Week at St Clare’s.  Student wellbeing and pastoral care are integral to the organisation of the school and its curriculum delivery. Wellbeing is fundamental to successful learning. Wellbeing is “feeling good” about oneself and one’s relationships as well as one’s sense of meaning, purpose and growth.

Christ is the centre of our work; he promoted wellbeing - wholeness - inclusion - with many who were cast apart from their communities.

The goal of our Catholic school system is for young people to embrace and enjoy the challenges of their lives, with the capacity to bounce back in the face of adversity.

During Wellbeing Week, students have the week off from written homework. It’s time to take a moment to reflect on the goodness in one’s life and take the time to practice the pause:

St Clare's School Board

We held our Board Meeting last Tuesday, June 4th and welcomed new members Alicia Johnston, Jim Chaffey and Brendan Slattery. We thank outgoing Board members, Andrew Apap and Sharon Martin for their dedication and support in policy development, finance, curriculum, capital development and strategic planning of the school. We wish them the very best.

Prep 2020 Enrolments

Enrolments for 2020 are open throughout Term 2 and Term 3. If you have a child eligible for Prep or you have family or friends who are looking for a high-quality education in a Catholic School, please encourage them to contact the school, view our school website or visit our school to enrol their child.

Semester One Reports

Over the past weeks, teachers have been preparing report cards to reflect students’ progress over the first semester of 2019. Teachers spend considerable time writing, re-writing and editing the reports to ensure as accurate reflection as possible of each individual student. Reports will be available through the Parent Portal on Thursday of Week 10. If you have not logged previously logged into the portal now will be a good time to do it. Should you require assistance logging into the parent portal, Chris Edwards would be happy to assist you. Please email Chris Edwards cedwards@cns.catholic.edu.au and she will organise a time with you.

Once you access your child/ren’s reports it is strongly suggested that you save them to your own files for future reference.

May the Grace of God be with you.

Kath Kennedy
