Dear Parents and Carers,
Much consideration has gone into our end of year events taking into account the covid restrictions we need to consider. Below is an outline of what is planned at this stage. Please remember that these plans could change and advice will be sent out if this occurs.
Yr 6 Liturgy and Dinner – Monday Nov 30th 5:30pm
The location of the liturgy will be confirmed closer to the date and families will be asked to RSVP numbers beforehand.
Dinner with students and parents will being organised by a planning commitee. Information regarding these plans have been sent to Yr 6 parents.
Wednesday morning Awards Assembly – Dec 2nd
This will be in the Montefalco Centre. Due to COVID requirements it will be limited to Yr 5 and 6 parents (parents only), families who are leaving St Clare’s and those who have children receiving the St Clare's Way award. End of Year awards and 2021 captain positions will be presented at this assembly. Due to the limited opportunities of sporting events this year we will not be announcing a recipient of the St Clare’s Sport Award for 2020. During this assembly Yr 6 will receive their graduation certificates and the P & F President (Andrew Apap) will give his speech. Further information will be sent closer to the date.
Wednesday evening BBQ and Christmas Concert
This has been cancelled due to spacing requirements. With covid rules of 2m square per person we could not cater for the whole school to attend with parents.
Friday farewell mass at 11am – Dec 4th
Decisions have not been made for this yet.
World Teachers’ Day – Friday October 30th
This Friday we celebrate World Teachers’ Day at St Clare’s School. As has been the tradition for many years, we celebrate ALL St Clare’s staff on this day. Our staff work closely together and we work as a team so therefore do not have separate days for different roles.
Thank you to the staff of St Clare’s for all that you do and continue to do for the students at our school!
Day for Daniel
This Friday is Day for Daniel and we will be supporting the Morcombe Foundation. Students are invited to wear red to school on Friday and bring a gold coin donation.
Melbourne Cup
We will not be having a hat parade for Melbourne Cup this year due to the multiple events already occurring this term (Book Week – moved from term three, Day for Daniel, Book Fair, Mini Fete).
2021 Enrolments
If your family will not be continuing at St Clare’s in 2021 please advise by emailing principal.tully@cns.catholic.edu.au
Enrolments are available in most year levels for 2021. Please support us by spreading the word and refer anyone interested to the office on 40659550.
Prep Transition for 2021
Our program is going well and our future students for next year are very settled each Wednesday. We look forward to our Parent Information Night tonight (Tuesday) at 6pm in the Prep room.
Best wishes for the week ahead,
Narelle Harney
All Saints Day – Sunday 1st November
November begins with a double feast in remembrance of those who have died. On All Saints day we celebrate all the known and unknown saints and martyrs of the Christian faith.
All Souls Day – Monday 2nd November
All Souls Day is when we especially remember all those whom we have loved and have died. Through Jesus’ death and Resurrection, we believe that we can be with God forever, and our faith brings us comfort when we are sad and filled with grief. We ask God to give them eternal rest forever.
On both of these days we are reminded of all who have lived as faithful Christians. They encourage us to grow in our own faith. We pray for them, and we remember them with love.
Mass at Tully Cemetery – Saturday 7th November
The annual Mass at the Tully Old Cemetery is being held on Saturday 7th November at 8am to remember our departed loved ones. Take your own chair and umbrella/hat/sun lotion. All welcome.

Scholastic Book Fair is the perfect place for children to discover a love of books and ignite a lifelong passion for reading.
Come into the library and browse with your your child to preselect some possible choices and pay for your books at the Book Fair.
Have fun choosing books together!
You are invited to purchase and donate a book which will make a welcome addition to the School library, a commemorative bookplate will be placed inside the book with your family or child’s name.
There will be a competition running during the Book Fair.
When you buy a book/s your child will go into a draw for a free book of their choice from the book fair.
Every book sold receives a free ticket, drawn after the Book Fair closes.
It is also a great time to buy for Christmas gift giving.
Brochure has been given to each child today.
