Dear St Clare's Community,
This is the last newsletter for 2021. The final weeks of the school year promise to be busy with many events taking place, hopefully I have outlined these below. As the year draws to a close it is often a time of reflection for us. I have been thinking about my year recently, and I have much to be thankful for. I invite you to remember this is not true for everyone and take the time to say a prayer/affirmation for those in our community that are not as well as they would like to be, who are facing challenges, or who are struggling with the demands of day to day living. It is evident that St. Clare’s is a very caring community from the items coming in for the St. Vinnies hampers. Please continue to send these items in, they are very sincerely appreciated.
We look forward to our swimming carnival this Friday. Thank you to all parents assisting on Friday with carnival jobs. Your assistance allows our day to run smoothly so that our students have a wonderful carnival. I would also like to acknowledge in advance the planning and preparation of our upcoming carnival by Adam Stubbings.
Please ensure students apply sunscreen before coming to school and have some in their bags to reapply. All students need to bring their hats, lunch, or order tuckshop and water bottles for the day (maybe more than one water bottle).

Report Cards will be uploaded to the Parent Portal by close of business on Thursday 2nd December. Parents will be notified via Seesaw if this occurs any earlier.

Please ensure you are able to login to the Parent Portal to access your child’s report. It is recommended that you download a copy from the portal and save it to your files for future reference.
If you have lost your password, please click “Forgotten password” and reset. This usually solves the problem. Any concerns, please email me on cedwards@cns.catholic.edu.au

St Vincent De Paul Christmas Hampers
St Clare’s is once again supporting the St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal. We are asking children to bring in non-perishable, long lasting items that will be put towards making up hampers for less fortunate people in our community. Each class has been asked to bring in specific items up until the end of term. This is an opportunity to teach our children about the gift of giving and all donations are greatly appreciated.

Swimming Carnival Tuckshop Menu 2021
Our Swimming Carnival is this Friday, we have a special Tuckshop Menu for the day, not all the usual food is available as we run the canteen from the swimming pool and we are limited on freezer space. The menu has been updated on the Flexischools app to show what is and isn't available and any extra food we have that day. Parent orders are welcome, and if you still haven't downloaded the app you can order the old way.
We are looking for donations of Cupcakes and/or slices for the day also, these can be brought straight to the pool on the Friday morning.
We need help to run the canteen on the day so PLEASE if you have some free time, we would love if you could pop over and help that way we can all get out to watch our child or children swim.
Thanks Marie
Thank you to all families who have made their school fee payment.
For those who pay their fees by direct debit or Bpay we appreciate if payments continue over the holidays to ensure there will be no outstanding fees starting 2022. Any credit balances will be rolled over for 2022.
Thank you

SCHOOL TIMES - 2022
Thank You to everyone who has generously given up time to help this year in the Tuckshop whether it be baking, volunteering, or helping on Sports Days.
Without your help we would not be able to run the tuckshop so smoothly.
I would like to make a special mention to Jane Berge, the time you have given to the Tuckshop over the last 18 years has been nothing short of exceptional, I wish you all the best and this also goes to Melita, Simone and Jo who have given so much time as well over the years.
As families leave the school we hope that we have some new families that can step up and help out to keep our tuckshop running for our children.
At the beginning of next year a note will go home asking for help, if you can help out again or are a new mum wanting to help please let me know then or beforehand. Next year we are fully online so I will not be able to except any paper orders and there will be no over the counter sales.
Thank You again and have a Safe and Happy Christmas.
