Dear St Clare's Community,
Welcome to Week 6 - we are now already halfway through Term 2 and it has been wonderful to see the sun shining. Our next P&F meeting is this week, please feel welcome to join us if you can. Wednesday @ 5:30 pm in the Library.
I would like to extend our gratitude and thanks to John & Dina Milone for their very generous donation of a new perpetual shield for our Swimming Carnivals. John and Dina have been long and very generous supporters of St. Clare’s over the years and I sincerely thank them for their ongoing support.
Origin - 31st May
All students are invited to show their true colours for the first game in this year's Origin Series. Students may wear either a maroon or blue shirt to show support for their team.
QLD Day June 6th
Everyone is invited to wear a tropical inspired shirt on June 6th to celebrate Queensland Day. Sunsmart clothing must still be worn and closed in shoes. Students who do not wish to wear something tropical can come to school in the Academic Uniform as usual for a Monday.
Blessings to you for the weeks ahead,
Karran Burzacott

Faith Knowledge Community Respect
The MTSS-E team has been busy working on updating our school’s Vision and Mission Statement to align with our new values of Faith, Knowledge, Respect and Community and to fit accordingly with our current school environment. We are pleased to share our new version with you:
Our Vision:
A school community enriched by a lived encounter with the values of knowledge, respect, community and faith.
Our Mission:
- Provide a world class education for every student, enriched by Catholic tradition, in partnership with families and the wider community;
- Promote and commit to positive relationships, characterised by our school values of faith, knowledge, community and respect and contribute to the common good;
- Develop lifelong learners, effective and respectful communicators, who are able to collaborate and think critically;
- First Nations communities and families are honoured, their cultures and beliefs are acknowledged and respected.
We currently have 15 children in the St Clare’s Parish participating in the 2023 Sacramental Program. We ask that you keep these children in your prayers as they develop a greater understanding and meaning of their faith in the lead up to their Confirmation and First Eucharist.
With Blessings
Sharon Chappel

Fete Update No. 2
An updated roster is attached to today’s newsletter. We have highlighted where we still need help. It is wonderful to see the roster so full so early, this is great. We are still looking for help in the kiddies zone. Thank you to Samantha Noonan for taking on the convenor's job for the kiddies zone. The committee are starting to buy in some great little toys, play jewellery, fidget spinners, football cards, slap bands etc to sell. Nothing is overly priced it's just a stall where kids can come and buy some goodies. We are looking for parents to do a 30 min to 1 hour time slot. Please if you can help, let Marie Vipiana know on 0418 158 872.
It's lovely to see classroom hampers filling up. If you haven’t dropped off anything yet we would love to see more donations. These goodies are used to help us make cent sale prizes for the fete.
Thank you
