Sent to the Principal’s Office
In the last week of Term 3, I had several visitors showing me some great effort in their learning. It is so good to see that our students are dedicated to doing their best all the way through to the end of each term.
Best wishes for the week ahead,
Karran Burzacott
If your child/children catch the bus in the afternoons, we kindly ask that the office is notified of any changes. Messages sent to teachers during the day are often not checked until after 3pm, also at times we might have teachers absent. Including the office in any bus changes or updates ensures that children and supervising bus duty staff are aware of the changes.

St Gerards’ Mass

Mental Health Week
This week we will be celebrating Mental Health Week with various lunch time activities around the school. At St Clare’s, we strive to provide opportunities for our students to be aware of their own mental health and develop strategies that promote positive mental health and wellbeing for life. Thank you to our staff members who are sharing their talents with us to make this an enjoyable week for all.

We kindly extend the invitation to our grandparents to join us on Friday October 24 for assembly in the hall at 8.40am. Grandparents will then be able to visit the children in their classrooms until approximately 9.45am. We hope to see many familiar faces there.

One of the things that we love about The Resilience Project at St Clare’s are GEM Chats! GEM Chats are prompted around the idea of expressing examples of Gratitude, Empathy or Mindfulness in our daily life and encourage us to think about how our actions can make ourselves and others feel!
Help your child achieve a healthy balance in their online and offline activities.
How much is too much?
There is no magic figure. The right amount of screen time can depend on a range of factors like your child’s age and maturity, the kind of content they are consuming, their learning needs and your family routine.
It can be easy to focus only on the clock, but the quality and nature of what they are doing online, and your involvement, are just as important.
Consider your child’s screen use in the context of their overall health and wellbeing. For example, is online time getting in the way of their sleep and exercise? Is it impacting on their face-to-face connections with family and friends? The answers to these questions will guide you and help strike the right balance of online and offline activities for your child.
For more information on screen time, please visit the eSafety site.
Cricket Cup
After being washed out last term, the Cricket Cup is planned to go ahead next Friday October 24. Teams, venue and the draw will run exactly as planned for the event last term. Players will head to the oval at 9.45am, therefore it will not clash with any visiting grandparents who may be joining us for the Grandparent's Day event.
