Dear Parents, Staff and Students
Our swimming program commenced today and there have been many happy faces returning from the pool after their first session. Please remember to send in the required items each week on your child’s swimming day. This term is only nine weeks but will be packed full of learning and extra curricula activities.
New School Phone Number
Due to a Diocesan upgrade of phone systems many schools have been assigned new phone numbers. St Clare’s phone number is now 07 40659550. It is suggested you change the number in your contact addresses now as it is already active. Once our system is fully integrated you will notice a difference in the caller ID number when you are contacted by the school. This will occur in a few weeks’ time. There will be a changeover period where the old number will continue to work.
Staffing update
During Term Three St. Clare’s advertised 2 full time teaching positions for 2020. I can advise now that the two full time teaching contract positions have been filled. Sharon Chappel is now a permanent staff member of St Clare’s and Tina Metcalfe has accepted a 12 month contract. We are still in the process of finalising further part time teacher positions. Non-teaching positions that need to be filled for 2020 will be addressed during this term.
Prep Transition
Tomorrow we will welcome many excited, possibly nervous children to our first day of Prep Transition for Prep 2020. We will be running a 5 week program led by Miss Kiralee Phelps and Mrs Pauline Colombini (Teacher Aide).
Parents dropping off their child tomorrow are invited to join us for morning tea in the Good Samaritan room at 9am supplied by our P & F. Please remember that all children must be picked up by their parents for the first week of transition. Parents are to complete a sign in sheet each day they attend and indicate if children will be picked up or need to be taken to kindy.
